Detail of one of the petals in my panel This window panel is designed with a sensor that allows for the panel to open or close automatically as the light changes. My programming allows for the panel to open to allow the sun-light in during the days, and close (interlap), to provide privacy during the night. It was exhibited during the NYU's Fall Show in 2006 click to see pictures of the show.
MY VASE
I like flowers, but not their maintenance (although I'm proud to say that I once had a dozen of roses last me two weeks!!). But thinking about this is that I decided to design something that is made to be hung (to save space), and at the same time a vase where I can see the progress of a root, since I like seeing roots so much. I began by sketching several ideas, and the more and more I kept doing it, I began to get closer to a combination of what I wanted. The image to the left
shows what ideally I would like to have as a vase, a display of roots and water plants, where at the same time living animals can hang around.
