interactive + TOY DESIGN: DUMPSTER DIVER
Toy Prototype. Final Toy

A toy that allows a child's imagination roam free by exploring
various ways of creating their own toys by using mundane
objects found inside the "Dumpster Dive" box.

› Children will explore a variety of textures, sounds, including physical movement, in addition to the opportunity to use their vivid
18y/oF 1 1 imagination in order to figure out an object to create (see illustration
above). The options are endless.

› Objects will be created using the found objects in their toy
“dumpster”. The objects are inter-connectable to each other by using of magnets, holes with matching protruding parts, which allow them to interact with each other in order to form an unimaginable and sometimes non-existent working objects.

› All the pieces used to create a toy will match at some point, even
if they are not related to each other but the purpose is that the end result would be an odd looking object, which should function as their main intended function (ie: a car with non-matching tires).

› Parents seem to also like it because in a way, it forces kids to keep their toys organized (inside the box).
